You’re stranded on a desert island, and you’re only allowed one type of alcohol. What would you choose, and why?
“If the island has a fridge, then I’d take Champagne, ideally a blanc de blanc,, because there’s nothing better than an ice-cold glass of Champagne to cool you down.
Who would you take as your drinking buddy?
“That’s a tough one to answer – I have so many different drinking buddies.”
Everyone has one drink they simply can’t stomach – What’s yours?
“Orange wines,”
You’ve been invited to a dinner party and want to bring along a wine to impress – what bottle would you bring?
“ At the moment, either the 2006 Laurent-Perrier or the 2004 Perrier-Jouet Belle Epoque 2004.
Where would we find you on a Friday night? A restaurant, cocktail bar, or down the pub?
“A wine bar.”
On that note, where’s hot to go right now and what’s the coolest place you’ve been to recently?
“It’s not cool or hot, but I recently went to the Foyer of the Savoy for cocktails and they knocked my socks off . Very interesting combinations that didn’t look like they would work but were absolutely delicious.”
What’s your biggest guilty pleasure when it comes to food and drink?
Champagne and fried chicken!
Tell us one interesting fact that you know from being a drinks industry insider?
“I’ve just learned about an after-hours bar for bartenders, but I can’t tell you where it is, they’d kill me.”
