Originating in San Francisco, Whiskies of the World is now a series of five hugely popular whisky festivals taking place in California, Texas and Georgia. Whiskies of the World offers guests the opportunity to taste superlative whiskies and to meet the outstanding personalities of the whisky world. Featuring whiskies from Scotland, Ireland, the USA, Canada, Japan and Australia, Whiskies of the World will surprise even the most savvy connoisseur.
Since Whiskies of the World joined the IWSC Group portfolio in 2011, the original San Francisco Expo has been joined by events in San Jose, Austin, Atlanta, and Houston. Known for its ability to bring new consumers to the whisky category Whiskies of the World has a style all of its own, taking place in venues such as the Fox Theatre Atlanta and on board the San Francisco Belle paddle steamer, the events replicate everything that consumers love about whisky.
Judged by a panel of key influencers in the Texan market including peer recognized bartenders, mixologists spirits reviewers and buyers, the Whiskies of the World Awards seek to recognize the best products available in the third largest whisky market in the USA. Drinkers can be sure that products winning a Whiskies of the World Award have been picked out in a blind tasting by the tastemakers of Texas!
